This Daniel Hendrickson was a Colnel of the 3rd Regiment of the Monmouth Militia. He was a land surveyor. Colonel Hendrickson represented Shrewsbury in the Provincial Congress of New Jersey in 1775. He owned a grist mill and saw mill near Tinton Falls which was attacked in a Loyalist raid as described in George Beekman's Early Dutch Settlers of Monmouth County. Lieutenant Auke (Okey) Hendrickson was killed during a counterattack during this raid. - [S38] Hendricks, Andrew A.
