George was 65 years old,a native of Fair Haven, the son of Susan and William Denyse Hendrickson, he was born in the house in the rear of his grocery store and had lived there since birth. He had been in the grocery store business for 25 years. George was considered on the the wealthiest residents of Fair Haven. He was very kind-hearted, and many families in Fair Haven were befriended by him. He never married. He lived with his sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Sands and Miss Cornelia Hendrickson. He had two brothers, William F. Hendrickson and Harry Hendrickson, both of Fair Haven.
