  "Gysbert. (Gilbert) b. February 24. 1694: m. Maijke. (Micha) daughter of Daniel Hendrickson and Kaatje VanDyke. his wife. He was a communicant in our Dutch church in 1721, and she in 1740. when her sister, Francyntje. wife of Tunis DeNeis, (Denise) also joined the church. Gilbert VanMater owned and lived on the farm where Gideon C. MacDowell now resides near Old Scots burying ground in the township of Marlboro, but formerly a part of Freehold township.
