Notes - Hendrick (Henry) HENDRICKS 1991 ID: 2 1963 ID: 2
The christening record for Henry lists him as "Hindrick, son of Hindrick and
Sara (Tomzon) Hindrikzon," and as witnesses his paternal grandparents, Hindrik
Hindrickzon (for whom he was named) and Aeltje Couwenhove.
Land was deeded to him in Rockingham County (approximately 2 miles from his
father's land), by the State of North Carolina. He is listed in the 1790 and
1800 census of Rockingham Co.
An entry in the Rockingham Co. court minutes for the February 1801 term shows a
deed from Henry Hendrix to Eleven Russell, and is probably this Henry preparing
to leave for Warren County, Kentucky, where he had a land grant of 200 acres
and where he appears in the 1810 census listed on the same page as his brother
Abraham.
No information has been established regarding any of Henry and Sally's
descendants. The 1800 census lists a Henry Hendricks with two females 16-25,
and one female 0-9.
