She was the sole surviving Daughter of a polygamist marriage in the Lewis family, Being one of the youngest of the youngest wife of William Hendricks Lewis. She recalled calling the other two wives "Aunt" and that the three wives were maintained with their children in three seperate households in Lewiston. Each lived a well-to-do lifestyle.
