| 3059 | HHFO: D1110040708 DW record number: 18920 The following obituary was printed in the Deseret News, Friday, January 3, 1997: William Hendricks Roskelley, 95, of Provo passed away peacefully at home on January 1, 1997. He was born December 3, 1901 in Smithfield, Utah to William Hendricks and Melba Bennion* Roskelley. He married Theodorsia Keyes in May, 1937. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple. She passed away in October 1988. He married Ora May Gledhill in the Provo Temple December 1988. She passed away December 1989. He married Melba Decker in June 1990 in the Provo Temple. He grew up in Smithfield, Utah and received his education there. He moved to Davenport, Iowa during the depression and found work as a machinist with International Harvester Inc. He retired in 1970 after many years of dedicated service. He rasied three children on his family farm in Iowa. He was an active member of the LDS Church having served in many positions during his life. He was an avid golfer and loved music. He sang in many choirs and barber shop quartets. He loved his family and will be dearly missed by all. He is survived by his wife, of Provo; one son and two daughters, Jean Langbehn, Wisconsin; Betty Eganhaus, Illinois; Chester Roskelley, Provo; stepchildren; Tom Whiting and Bob Whiting, both of Illinois; Margaret Stringer, Florida; 25 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Provo North Second Ward Chapel, 1122 No. Grand Ave., Provo, Utah. Friends may call from 8:45-9:45 at the church. Burial: Provo City Cemetery.
